Lisa Unger

Her books are simply amazing, not for the faint of heart, psychological suspense that keeps you guessing until the end.  My personal favorites are:  Blackout(keep the lights on!); Beautiful Lies; Crazy Love You; In The Blood; Fragile; Sliver of Truth; Die For You; Darkness My Old Friend; Heartbroken.

Dean Koontz

I’ve loved Dean Koontz since I first picked up Watchers.  I especially love his earlier books; his Odd Thomas series; and his new release Ashley Bell.

Tami Hoag

Long time favorite author since she wrote romance books.  She transitioned to mystery with Night Sins and Guilty as Sin which were excellent.  All of her Kovac & Liska books are my favorite:  Ashes to Ashes; Dust to Dust; Prior Bad Acts; The 9th Girl; The Bitter Season.

C.J. Box

His Joe Pickett novels are not to be missed.  Start anywhere or start from the beginning.  We picked our first one up in Yellowstone on vacation in 2010 and went back and read the earlier ones and have anxiously awaited the new releases.  He also has a new series The Highway and Badlands that are wonderful, thrilling suspense that will make you look at road trips and truckers in a whole new light!

My personal favorite of his Joe Pickett novels have been the ones that heavily featured Nate Romanowski so I’m anxiously awaiting his new release: Off The Grid and loved Stone Cold.   His very first book Open Season paints a vivid picture of Wyoming and Yellowstone National Park and remains a favorite of our household!

Karin Slaughter

All of her books are wonderful, she writes an intense thriller not always for the faint of heart. My favorite have been her Will Trent series: Triptych; Fractured; Undone; Broken; Fallen; Snatched; Criminal; Busted; Unseen.

Sandra Brown

I have every Sandra Brown (including her “Loveswept” novels) and she’s been an all time favorite forever.  She does keep it fresh which is amazing.  Read them all.  My personal favorite is The Witness, The Alibi, Mean Streak, Chill Factor and Friction.
